USC Freshman Bronny James Recovering After Cardiac Arrest
Stable Condition, Out of ICU
Bronny James, the eldest son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, is in stable condition and out of the intensive care unit (ICU) after suffering a cardiac arrest on July 24 during a USC practice.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest
The 19-year-old USC freshman collapsed from cardiac arrest during practice on Monday. He was immediately transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was hospitalized for three days.
Cardiac arrest is a sudden loss of heart function, breathing, and consciousness. It can be fatal if not treated immediately.
Resting at Home
James has since been discharged from the hospital and is resting at home. His condition is stable, and he is expected to make a full recovery.
The cause of James' cardiac arrest is still under investigation.
